How strong are these rings? Not as strong as a metal one! They need care and attention and an avoidance of hard shocks. We have happy customers who wear theirs continuously, on the other hand we had a customer who was very unhappy when theirs broke after catching a rugby ball. We cannot guarrantee the rings strength, but we are happy to replace any ring that brakes in the first year. |

How to care for a wooden ring? If you keep your ring polished, using the pot of wax supplied, the wood will never wear down, unlike a gold ring. If you wear your ring all the time, including washing up, showers and swimming, it should be polished every day. If you only wear it occasionally it is mostly dependent upon your hands. If you hands are dry, they will take the polish off the ring quickly. (We do not recommend getting the ring wet , but the occasional immersion will not harm it if well polished) |

Don't you use any other woods? Sorry, we do not; we used to make rings of many woods but could not cope with the stress. These rings are usually bought for weddings or other special occasions, we could not hold stocks of all the rings in all the sizes, so when a ring was found not to fit a few days before the wedding we were up nights trying to turn an extra ring, only to find the wood split and we had no more dried wood ready. |
Will you make a bespoke ring? No we will not. Sorry to seem inflexible, but we will not differ from the rings as sold on this site. As we are asked so often here is a list of the things we will not do:
Make it wider or narrower use your own woods Make it of a single wood |
How do I find out my ring size? The only way is to go to a jewellers and get your finger measured. If you want to buy a ring without your partner knowing then you need to take an existing ring and get it measured. Measuring a ring with a ruler is not accutate enough. The difference between ring sizes is under 0.2mm, this cannot be measured with a ruler, or a piece of string round the finger. |
